Ronnnie answers a tradesperson’s phone when they can’t. This page says what that involves for the people who ring, and for the tradesperson whose line it is. Last updated 4 October 2026.
If you rang a business and Ronnnie answered
The call is handled by an automated assistant. It says so if you ask. It takes the details a receptionist would — your name, a number to ring you back on, the address of the job and what has happened — and passes them to the business by text message. If the business has asked us to, you get a text back confirming what we took down, so you can correct it by replying.
A written transcript of the call is kept for 90 days and then deleted. Audio is not kept. The details the business needs (name, number, address, problem, when you rang) are kept by us for up to 100 days so the business can see what it was sent; the business keeps its own copy in its texts and, where connected, its calendar.
Nothing you tell Ronnnie is used for marketing, sold, or shared with anyone other than the business you rang and the providers below that make the service work.
If you are the tradesperson
You are the data controller for your customers’ details; Ronnnie (Joe O’Meara, trading as Ronnnie) is your processor and acts on your instructions. A data processing agreement is available on request. Your callers’ details reach you by text and nowhere else unless you connect a calendar.
If you connect a Google Calendar, Ronnnie reads the times you are busy so it can offer callers a free slot, and writes a booking into your calendar when a caller accepts one. It reads nothing else and writes nothing else. The connection is made once, by you, on Google’s own consent screen, and you can revoke it at any time in your Google Account under Security → Third-party access, or by asking us. Ronnnie’s use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Calendar data is used only to offer and make bookings on your behalf, is never used for advertising, and is never sold or shared.
If you left your details on the website
The form on the homepage asks for your name, a number and, if you prefer, an email. They are sent to Joe by text so he can ring you back, and a copy is kept for up to 180 days. They are used for that and nothing else — no mailing list, no marketing, not shared with anyone. Ask and they are deleted.
